With support from the Swedish Arts Grants Committee, I am working on a project in fused glass.

Through my materials I explore how shifts in the world around us take bodily form – in us, in the way we think and in how we orient ourselves in the world. I use glass powder to “paint” inside the glass: the colour is sifted, dusted and built up in layers that are then fired in the kiln.

The project takes as its starting point in the shift we are living through right now. Seductive new technologies steer us in a direction none of us control, and I am drawn along myself, unable to read the codes.
